Does Western Medicine hold all the answers ?
Have you ever heard anyone say, your cancer is spreading and sorry, there is nothing else we can do or you have an auto immune disease and there is no treatment. These statements are being said by today’s western doctors. Why is there such a lack of hope ? Why are our doctors relying on synthetic drugs to solve all today’s health concerns. What about the world of Natural Medicine which dates back as far as Hippocrates (the father of Medicine). Why are today’s doctors not even open to the idea of referring their patients to Naturopathic Doctors. Could it be selfish credibility issues?
Friends, I believe that each and everyone of us is responsible for our own health. Why then are we taking the devastating statements made above to heart and thinking, well if my doctor thinks I am dying it must be so. Thinking that your doctor holds all the answers is simply not true. If this were true than America would be the healthiest nation on earth with the fewest patients in the hospitals based on the amount of pharmaceutical drugs being sold and that my friends is simply not happening.
What is Natural Medicine or “Alternative medicine” as today’s doctors like to refer. It isn’t alternative at all. Natural Medicine is the original, using foods (Herbs) as medicine that God graciously placed on this earth. Naturopathic medicine is simply doing what has been proven to work with thousands of years of global experience and success. Natural medicine is what it sounds like,,, using natural substances that your body recognizes to help your body heal itself. So why do today’s doctors not recognize or are threatened by naturopathic medicine. I believe that our western society god (money) is responsible. Today, it’s all about the money and I mean drug (pharmaceutical) money. How many people could be healed naturally with just the advertising money used by pharmaceutical companies. God’s food medicine (herbs) grows everywhere and is easy to harvest and usually doesn’t cost very much. Knowing how to use them (herbs) is an art and skill that I pray we never loose.
Do we need to rely on God’s help thru Natural remedies and food medicines,,,,, absolutely, if we are wise. Do we also need today’s technology and pharmaceutical drugs,, absolutely,,,,, but in the order just given is most wise.

Do we live to EAT or do we eat to LIVE ? - November 2, 2007

I ask you, what is the purpose of eating? Take some time to really think about your answer to this question. Think back to the time in Genesis 1:29 And God said, behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed, to you it shall be for meat. Adam and Eve also had the Tree of Life, Genesis 2:9. Could it be that the fruit tree’s were plainly just their healthy food and that eating from the Tree of Life gave them all the nutrients and antioxidants that their cells would need to perfectly reproduce forever? They also had a river which was perfect and unpolluted. They also had perfect oxygen rich air with no pollution. Sounds like a perfect paradise to me.
Now back to the question at hand, what is the purpose of eating. What I am hearing is that most people eat solely for the pleasure or the taste of food.
Your tongue has around 8,000 taste buds on it which I thank God for. Imagine if what we ate all tasted the same. Boring right? My point is this, once food leaves our mouth, the rest of our digestive track could care less about how it tasted. The only important ingredient to your body is what nutrition and energy can be produced from what we ate. I told my wife that we need to reprogram our taste buds for healthy foods and she thought that was just a plain silly idea until I explained what I meant. I used to love to drink soft drinks, probably 3 to 4 cans per day. Since I have learned about Natural Health, I drink 95% distilled and filtered water. When I do drink a soft drink, I really don’t like it. I almost gag from it being too sweet. So even though I want to drink it, my taste buds are rejecting it.
We can do this with most any food. Healthy Eating really does taste good.
Now to the meat of this article. When we eat out of Want instead of Need, we usually eat mostly what taste good to us. Anyone like sweets or junk food? More importantly, what are we teaching our children? They will usually copy Mom and Dad. Even though most of our food is nutritionally bankrupt, we eat it anyway solely for taste and pleasure.
That’s why fad diets and gimmicks fail. We just don’t want to quit eating what pleases us.
So what will motivate us to change our destructive eating habits. What changed me?
What changed me into an obsessed good health nut? I only have one answer. Education! The core of changing someone’s “will” is thru learning the truth. Motivation for searching for the truth comes in many forms, mine was a personal illness. Maybe we just have to be so sick and tired of being sick and tired. Maybe watching a parent or loved one or child die too young from a disease. Whatever reason, I praise God that he caught my attention soon enough where there is time for me to change and turn back the clock but most of all to have an opportunity to help others learn about prevention.
I think what hit home to me was learning about how our body digest food and the problems our SAD (Standard American Diet) diet impacts our body.
Learning about leaky gut, yeast overgrowth (Candida) and parasites caused mostly from over prescribed antibiotics or Impacted rotting feces in our colons that in some cases have been there for years leaching poisons into our body. Disease is not pleasant. Death really does begin in your colon. Learning how the Liver which is the chemical plant for the body is failing because of toxins in what we eat and drink, the Gall Bladder that is being killed by Constipation but the very important job it has of secreting bile from the Liver to help us process fats. The Pancreas which is so confused. Why? Because of an overabundance of sugar in our diet makes our cells resistant to sugar but the cells keep demanding the Pancreas to produce more insulin. We and our children are quickly becoming insulin resistant Type II Diabetics.
I believe Education that teaches how our Body and its systems work is a key factor that will motivate people to take action to pursue a more preventative approach. There are several Nutritional Companies that specialize in this education.
Ask yourself, is it in the best interest of Pharmaceutical Companies, Hospitals and Doctors if Americans become Educated about the Preventative benefits of nutrition and natural health? Hmmm
Now to answer our question:
I believe the only real purpose of eating is to provide the nutrition that our body needs for maintenance and growth. Period.
Our body and cells need at the least, a constant array of vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, proteins, carbohydrates, EFA’s, fiber, enzymes, and pure water to perform. We can only get these by what we eat or supplement, which leads me to supplements. If we could provide all the nutrients the body needs by supplements, would we need to eat? Hmmm? Just think how much more work we could get done if we didn’t have to take the time to eat. DAH, I’ve just realized why we want to eat.
The articles I have written have focused on one fact. Today, it is crucial to add supplements to our diet simply because all the nutrients our bodies need daily are just not found in our food sources, regardless of how well you think you eat. When eating, ask yourself - Am I living to Eat or am I eating to Live.? Does my body really NEED this?
For me, guarding what goes in my mouth has become a way of life. The Bible is an awesome source for information of what foods and herbs we can eat to help our bodies maintain Homeostasis ( stable state of equilibrium). God’s way really is simple to follow and the strength to succeed is found in him also.

The Fountain of Youth really does exist ! - October 22, 2007

Not as you might picture it, but I believe we can turn back the clock.
You might find this hard to believe…but our bodies don’t’ actually age, we don’t get sick, and we don’t get diseases - our cells do. Cellular health is critical to reversing the destructive process. Antioxidants are the key against free-radicals.( damaged cells ).
But first we must know the enemy. What is attacking our body and making it age faster than it should and what can we do about it.

Here are two areas:
1. Toxins that we are exposed to.
2. What we eat.

Let’s look at Toxins. Never has mankind been exposed to such an array of toxins then in the world today. Think about what you are exposed to on a daily basis. Airborne oils and fumes from cooking, Chlorine and many more chemicals in the steamy air as you shower. You do breath while you shower, right? The use of hair sprays, makeup, deodorant, gasoline and diesel fumes on the morning and evening rush hour commute, perfumes from other co-workers, cigarette smoke, cleaners still lingering in the air from last nights cleaning crew. If you work in the city, what other chemicals are in the air we breath. Globally, China’s problem is our problem. The negative effects of electrical energy: Cells phones, computers, TV’s, florescent lighting, the sun. Drinking ordinary tap water. And then there is prescription and non prescription drugs. Never has our bodies been exposed to a more dangerous group of toxins than Pharmaceutical drugs. We are bombarded by Ads on TV and in magazines. Are some needed, yes, are they over prescribed, absolutely yes. These are just a few of the hundreds of toxic examples you can probably think of that you are exposed to throughout the day. All these infiltrate our bodies by breathing, eating, drinking and thru the skin. In a nutshell we are bombarded with toxins almost 24/7.
Let’s look at what we eat. Our Obsession with food - FAST Fried foods, sugar filled coffee, tea, fruit juices, syrups, desserts and soft drinks ( sugar with chemicals in a can), bleached white flour pasta and pizza, convenience snacks and foods that are polluted with preservatives, colors, chemicals and very little nutrition. Processed foods that in the early 1900’s, only 5% of our foods we ate were processed and now it is 95%, all loaded with sugar, high fructose corn syrup and preservatives (chemicals).
Lord only knows what is in the commercially prepared restaurant foods we consume. We trust the establishments and their employee’s to do the right things and follow all the guide lines, but do they? Do they really wash their hands after using the restroom or scratching their heads or coughing and sneezing. or picking their nose We are people and we all do these things. If you get my drift, knowing all this can really make you paranoid. Commercial produce, fruits and meats are injected with chemicals and colors to make them look appealing and enzyme inhibitors to keep them from rotting. Are you getting it ? Is any of this making sense? Where is the nutrition that our immune system needs daily to fight this battle on aging.
Years of toxic exposure and our bodies lack of resources to fight them causes INFLAMATION, your bodies way of fighting back but also it’s worst enemy. Folks, we are burning up on the inside. Cells are being mutated or destroyed with years of toxin exposure and build up. Our bodies immune systems are at the very limits of their capacity. Now add to the problem the SAD diet (standard American diet) and microwaves, this just makes your cells go crazy,, as in free radical crazy. These bad cells and toxins accumulate in your muscles, your bones, your skin, your organs, your brain, anywhere where your body can store them because there are just too many for our immune system to handle. You can without a doubt see the cause behind disease. Disease and cancer doesn’t just sneak up on you. It actually starts at a very early age.
So, what can we do about it ?
There is no magical pill or magical nutritional supplement you can take to cure this problem.
It requires a change of heart and much discipline with commitment.
NO, it is not going to be easy or quick, but
This is a recipe guaranteed to work.
Our bombardment with toxins is inevitable, but there are several solutions we can use.
Look for a more natural approach to hair, skin and cleaning products, install a filter on your shower head at home, install a reverse osmosis or distiller for all drinking water or at least buy bottled distilled water. Change furnace filters more frequent, find a park or wooded area to walk in frequently for more oxygen. NO you don’t have to change to all of this in two weeks. This change in life style may take several years to implement. The problem took many years to be created.

YOU have to look at foods and eating habits differently. It’s all about needs Not wants. Try looking at the way you used to eat as causing sickness and “death.“

EAT NO MORE: fried foods, refined sugar including anything with sugar added, tap water, table salt, pork, shelled fish, breads with white flour, margarine, canola oils, very limited amounts of pasta and starches, white rice. No processed snacks “Junk Food” of any kind. Limit red meats to once per week not fried or grilled.
Try cooking at home. NO more fast food or restaurant foods…Ok, maybe every blue moon or no more than once per week.
Have you quit already.. Most people say that they would rather die than give up all these old ways. AND that is the problem. The old ways will certainly produce a miserable feeling of ill health and then disease with early death.

Ready for the Yes’s to eat?
Remember, everyone is different. When eating foods make a list of foods which seem to bother you. Listen to your body.
This information is by no means conclusive, just a place to start.

Memorize these words: Chew and dry
Digestion starts in the mouth, your saliva secrets an enzyme called pryalin which immediately starts breaking down carbohydrates..

Chew and Chew your food into a paste and don’t drink as you eat.
When you drink with your meals you have just diluted or killed your digestive and immune systems first line of defense, Enzymes and Stomach Hydrochloric Acid. And yes it is an acid, so strong that very few bad microorganisms can survive when exposed to it.
Let’s start by eating some fresh fruit, but follow the fruit rule, eat it alone or leave it alone. Don’t combine with other food groups. That could be toxic.
Eat fresh vegetables raw or steamed. Cut up and snack on. Remember when food is cooked you will usually kill the digestive enzymes in it. More of a reason to supplement with food enzymes.
Eat Green leafy vegetables, not just iceberg lettuce, daily
Protein - (means prime importance) we can only get from our diet. Eat 4 eggs per week
Most of us are “fat” deficient. We need the Essential (meaning it must come from our diet ) fatty Acids - EFA’s, the good fats.
OMEGA 3’s: Flax seed oil, Safflower oil, fish oils, nuts or take a quality Omega 3 supplement.
OMEGA 6’s: We normally get more than enough thru a healthy diet (vegetable oils). We need a 4 to 1 ratio of 6 to 3‘s.
OMEGA 9: 6 + 3 = 9, Our body can make omega 9 if omega 3 & 6 are present.
Eat figs, raisins, grapes, pomegranates, honey
Eat fish or grain fed chicken or turkey more than red meats.
Eat seeds, nuts, Wheat, Barley, Oats and an apple daily for fiber. Fiber is crucial for removing toxins stored in the digestive tract.
Use Virgin Olive Oil but not for cooking, coconut oil is better.
WOW ! If you read your Bible and these foods sounds familiar, it is because most of this is God’s foods found in the Bible. All these foods are rich in Antioxidants.
Drink pure water (distilled) many times throughout the day and try adding a little lemon juice ( fresh squeezed ). Lemon juice closely matches the bile in the liver. If the liver is strong and healthy then the individual is strong and healthy.
It is best to drink around 4 oz at a time every ½ hr.

You Clean your body outside mostly everyday, what about your inside ? Use a complete digestive cleansing at least two times per year. Spring and Fall works well

Our bodies need vitamins, minerals and very high amounts of antioxidants, and lots of them, and I mean way above the RDA amounts to begin to have a chance to deal with the toxins we have stored in our bodies and are exposed to daily. When it comes to supplements, quality is everything. Are you worth it?
Take a High Quality, high potency complete multi vitamin-mineral supplement daily. There are many in liquid form.
Taking a Food Enzyme with every meal is a must. Our foods simply do not contain the enzymes to digest the food unless you grow it yourself or are confident in the source. Enzymes are the workers that break down proteins, fats and carbohydrates so the body can use them.
Take a Probiotic at least once per day. Have you ever taken an antibiotic ? Biotic means life, so antibiotic means anti- life. They kill bad bacteria which causes infections, but they also kill the good bacteria. You have billions of them, the friendly guys that live in your intestines and Colon that your Immune system simply can’t live without. Ever heard of Yeast overgrowth (Candida) or parasites. The good guys keep them in check. “Fast” ( drink only liquids ) a few days every month and let your digestive system have a well deserved rest.

Last but most important is the word Antioxidant. Drink quality Green Tea, as much as you can stand, noni juice, eat grapes, pomegranates and organic fruits and vegetables, take Vitamin C and E as talked about previously. They help put out the fire of inflammation.

This is eating at it’s best and only the tip of the iceberg. You will be amazed how little the amounts of food your body will need once you provide the nutrition that is lacking. I am very serious, when your body gets what it needs, you won’t be craving to eat all the time.
Life becomes an awesome journey when you are not a prisoner to food. Energy increases, access weight just falls off, and most symptoms of bloating, gut pains, joint pain, headaches, allergies, skin problems, and that I feel lousy feeling will begin to disappear.

DYSTHROID ORBITOPATHY - September 16, 2007

What helped me with the inflammation and swelling.

What is dysthroid orbitopathy?

Thyroid eye disease (TED), also known as Graves' ophthalmopathy or thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy, is the most frequent extrathyroidal manifestation of autoimmune hyperthyroidism (Graves' disease); 25–50% of patients with Graves' disease have eye involvement, of whom 3–5% develop severe disease. The aetiology of TED is complex. Genetic susceptibility and endogenous and environmental factors play a role in its development. The genetic factors are poorly defined but appear to have the lesser role. The risk of developing TED increases with age and women are more likely to develop Graves disease than men

Thyroid-associated eye disease is an orbital manifestation of autoimmune thyroid disease. Its treatment, despite recent developments, is still challenging, and complete improvement of functional and/or cosmetic impairment is not always possible.

Thyroid-associated orbitopathy (TAO), the most frequent extrathyroidal manifestation of Graves disease is a disfiguring and disabling disease that influences and impairs the quality of life of affected individuals to variable degrees. Despite recent progress in the understanding of its pathogenesis and in its management, there are still major controversies in both areas.

My story: I have had Graves disease since around 1982. I did not elect to have radioactive treatment at that time. Instead I chose to seek treatment in Columbus, Ohio and underwent a program of Propylthiourcil. After several years, this treatment did not seem to control my problem and my eyes were beginning to protrude to the point of much concern. I then elected to have the radioactive treatment. I was one of the few who had much success with this and no other treatment or synthroid was needed for over 7 years.

I was diagnosed with Dysthroid Orbitopathy around November 2005 after several months of battling double vision. My doctors are very conservative in their treatment approach which I like. My only treatment to date was Steroid pills. I did not respond to this very well. At current we are on a wait and see course with checkups to make sure there is no optic nerve damage.

IS YOUR WEIGHT "STRESSING YOU OUT" - September 4, 2007

I have been asked recently, what is my secret for my weight loss.
I jokingly just say I quit eating. But I am serious. Who says you must eat 3 meals every day?
Did GOD tell Adam he must eat 3 balanced meals a day? I have also heard it said that to lose weight you must eat 3 meals a day. Wow, who comes up with this stuff.

What I have found to be true in all my current research and education is this. Most people who are over- weight; (and how many people do you know that are not over weight, especially our children?) could be overweight because their body is suffering from mal-nutrition. You may ask, how can someone 100lbs over their ideal body weight be suffering from mal-nutrition? Have you read the current newspapers and articles where our young children are being admitted to the hospital and treated for mal-nutrition ? And we are not talking about poor neighborhoods, these children come from affluent suburb America.

Folks, as we have all heard it many times before, and this is my opinion, there is nothing good in processed food. NaDa, zero, zilch. The box it is in may contain as much nutrition. **This is a Major clue ** If it won’t start to rot on the way home from the store, DON’T Buy IT!!! You can put processed foods out in your garage for days and most bugs won’t touch it. HOW COME? I am serious; try it with margarine. Think about it! And at best the whole food we do eat just has trace amounts of the minerals and vitamins our body needs.
Folks, this is Common Sense. If the foods we eat are dead, our body will just cry, and beg for more and more and more hoping that it may get something nutritional. That’s why we are always hungry. Think about this. How many times a day DO YOU put something in your mouth. Most of us don’t eat three meals per day. WE EAT all day long. The snack food companies are getting rich! GOD did not design our digestive system to have to process food all day long. Have you ever heard of FASTING? Just Fast one day a week (drink only water) and your body will rejoice.
Yes !! As I have said before, we must supplement our diet with nutritional products preferably liquid (for absorption). Since I have been training my body to accept the nutritional supplements I am giving it, it has quit crying and begging for food and I am literally not hungry most of the time. Wow! More than 5 million Americans suffer from Hypothyroidism and Hyperthyroidism and as many as 10% of American women may have some form of thyroid dysfunction! Many people have Thyroid disorders without even realizing it!
What is the thyroid gland and what does it do?
The thyroid gland is situated at the base of the throat and is stimulated by the pituitary gland to produce hormones which are important for the functioning and maintenance of all the cells in the body and for metabolism.
If there is an underproduction of thyroid hormones, hypothyroidism will result. Overproduction causes hyperthyroidism, or overactive thyroid.
There are different types of thyroid disease and dysfunction:

Hyperthyoidism caused by Graves disease.

What are the symptoms of Hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's Thyroiditis?
Chronic fatigue and weakness

Hypothyroidism is a condition in which the body lacks sufficient thyroid hormone. Since the main purpose of thyroid hormone is to "run the body's metabolism", it is understandable that people with this condition will have symptoms associated with a slow metabolism.

Hyperthyroidism is a medical condition in which the thyroid gland produces too much thyroid hormone (called T3 and T4). What are the symptoms of Hyperthyroidism?

Both Hypo and Hyper thyroidism is relatively easily to diagnose by means of a blood test to check TSH levels (the thyroid stimulating hormone produced by the pituitary gland) and T4 levels (the main thyroid hormone).
Remember that these levels can vary considerably from individual to individual and what is 'normal' for one person is not necessarily normal for another.
Doctors must be sensitive to the correlation between symptoms and TSH and T4 levels in the individual. Because the 'normal' range varies from person to person, some people may have hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism (and their symptoms), while blood tests show that their TSH and T4 levels are normal.

What causes Hyperthyroidism?
The most common cause of an overactive thyroid is Graves Disease. Graves Disease is an auto-immune illness in which the immune system begins to attack parts of ones own body - in this case the thyroid gland.
Other causes of Hyperthyroidism include nodules on the thyroid gland, inflammation of the thyroid (thyroiditis) and over-treatment of hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid).
How is Hyperthyroidism usually treated?
Hyperthyroidism may be treated with anti-thyroid drugs like methimazole and propylthiouracil (PTU) - which block the thyroid from producing thyroid hormone.
Although these drugs may quickly bring the thyroid into balance, they can have side effects such as itching, rash, fever, liver inflammation or a deficiency of white blood cells. Often the hyperthyroidism comes back after these drugs are discontinued.
For this reason, orthodox medicine often recommends that the thyroid be permanently put out of action by means of radioactive iodine treatment or surgical removal of all or part of the thyroid. While this can permanently solve the problem of hyperthyroidism, oftentimes the symptoms that accompany hypothyroidism still persist even after the treatment.
People who have had their thyroid gland removed or inactivated by radioactive iodine treatment usually have to take medication for hypothyroidism for the rest of their lives. Other medication, for example beta-blockers, may be prescribed to control some of the symptoms of hyperthyroidism.

INVADES? DISEASE? Where and when did all this invasion and disease begin?
FOLKS, you can’t consume 3 gallons of soft drinks and eat fast food all week long and expect not to get a disease.
FOLKS, you can’t smoke 2 packs a day, stay out late at night drinking, or snorting stuff up your nose and not expect to get a disease.
FOLKS, you can’t eat fruits and vegetables and all the foods in the USDA Food Pyramid and expect not to get a disease.

Whoa! Hold on. Hey - wait just a minute – I do try and eat right and live right – what do you mean I may still get a disease.
Back in the days of Adam and Eve that was correct. The food chain and water and air were pure. But today our fruits, vegetables, meats, water and air is so contaminated – Come on, don’t act so surprised, you have heard this all before from many sources.

Does GOD really care about what we eat ? - May 7, 2007

Why should anyone be concerned about what the Bible has to say about food?
Biblical nutrition is a “new” and exciting way to look at food, nutrition, diet and health and yet it is as old as the world itself. Most people tend to read right over the Bible’s many references to food, missing a very important mystery of the Scriptures. Yet, food plays such an important part in the story of creation, the fall, salvation, and everlasting life, that it is discussed almost immediately in the very first book of the Bible (Genesis 1:29) and then again near the very end of the last book. (Revelations 22:2)

In fact, the concept of eating the right foods is so important to God that He wastes no time in the Bible instructing us on how to eat properly:

And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.” (Genesis 1:29)


Unfortunately, throughout all of the succeeding millennia, mankind has drifted even father from the wisdom of God’s perfect eating plan. Just witness the corruption of our processed foods today with all of their chemicals, preservatives, artificial fertilizers, colors, sweeteners, etc. And now to make things even worse, we are eating genetically modified foods. These are techno-foods whereby the original genetic blueprint of the food placed there by God, is altered for some alleged benefit. Fortunately there is hope for those people who seek to return to God’s way of eating.

In many respects, the Holy Bible is an operations manual for human beings as it carefully outlines those things which are good and bad for us. In fact, over 50 different foods are mentioned in the Scriptures – mostly all of them in a very positive way. God prescribed a very specific eating plan for our health and well-being. We refer to this eating plan as “Biblical Nutrition.” So many of the foods mentioned in the Bible are just now being found to have numerous health-building properties that we can indeed conclude that Bible foods are very important.

What types of foods does Genesis 1:29 refer to?
Notice first of all in Genesis 1:29 that God identifies two basic vegetarian sources of nourishment for mankind – herbs and fruits. The Hebrew word used here for herbs is eseb a broadly defined word which means green, grass, tender shoot or herb. Falling under this definition would be a wide variety of herb foods including cereal grasses (wheat, barley, rice, etc.), vegetables, beans, legumes, berry plants, herbs and spices.

In addition, the seed producing trees would also include a huge variety of fruits and nuts, including two important Bible foods – grapes and olives. (Not to be overlooked is the fact that God more than likely intended for us to eat even the seeds themselves since modern science is now uncovering a host of health-building factors in seeds.)

Here, then, is a list of food categories that can be defined as Bible foods:
• Fruits
• Vegetables
• Legumes
• Beans
• Nuts
• Grains & Cereals
• Spices
• Seeds
• Sprouts
• Herbs

Noticeably absent from this Eden menu (Bible diet) is any form of animal products. Also missing are food additives, artificial preservatives, colorants, fungicides, mold inhibitors, extenders, artificial flavorings – you know – the usual stuff we eat every single day of our lives.

Now that we have a template of the perfect foods that God ordained for man’s original Eden Bible diet, the question then is whether we should still be eating this way or doesn’t it really matter anymore? Many Bible believers feel that it doesn’t really matter anymore what we eat. They cite various scriptures from the New Testament as proof of this belief.
Of course it still matters what we eat – otherwise there would be no harm in a diet of junk foods, high fat foods, highly processed foods and high calorie foods. As a matter of fact, nutritional research is showing us that there is a direct link between the diet we follow and the condition of our health. This being the case, then why would you not opt for the most perfect foods God ever created for man?

The Bible discusses a wide variety of specific foods within its pages. Historians, archaeologists, and Bible scholars have put together a list of the types of foods eaten in Bible times. Diets were high in vegetables, fruits, beans, grains, herbs, nuts, fish and dairy products with very little meat eaten, perhaps only on special occasions and religious holy days. We think this is still a good way for us to be eating today.

What are some of the benefits to eating Bible foods?
Bible foods have cleansing and healing properties that are nothing short of miraculous. They’re the richest natural sources of vitamins, minerals and enzymes on the earth. Below is a list of just some of the benefits of following a biblically based diet:

Is our Health Care system Broken? - March 16, 2006

Some have mentioned that we should rename our system of health care to sick care. I tend to agree. How many friends and family do we all know who have visited their doctor many times and after several prescriptions, have realized they are just getting sicker.
It seems that the medical profession knows how to treat their symptom with a new drug, but when we take the drug and then read the side effects of that drug we end up with a whole new batch of sickness and symptoms. Where did our problem start from in the first place? Example, when we get a headache our body is trying to tell us there is a problem. The headache is just a symptom. Where is the root of the problem?

The sad fact is that you never hear your doctor ask, how is your diet. Are you a chocoholic? Do you eat a balanced meal? Do you get enough vitamins and minerals in your diet? Do you drink 3 cans or more of diet pop a day? Do you eat pork? Do you use margarine or butter? These are just a few things that should be asked.
Lack of proper nutrition is the main reason people get sick and your body will let you know that fact with many symptoms.

With the vast amount of information at our fingertips on the Internet about nutrition, it amazes me that we don’t know God’s simple plan on how to heal ourselves.
A fact that has been published for many years is that the foods we eat do not have the proper amount of vitamins and minerals our body is craving. We must supplement our diet. It is imperative that we put the building blocks of life back into our bodies. God does not want you to be sick.

Your Body is an Engine - March 15, 2006

Growing up around surface coal mining and machines with engines, I learned a lot about how engines work and the basics that they need. Now today learning about nutrition I find some similarities. Stay with me here. It will make sense, I hope. The needs of your body are similar to the needs of the engine in your car. These needs are Fuel, Air, and Spark. By the way, you must have realized by now that I am a very simple minded person with a very simple mind. To simplify, this article I will address just one of these needs. Fuel

Compare this: Your car engine needs fuel. So does your body.
The gasoline you put in your car has to be clean with no pollutants. If it is contaminated you will experience symptoms. Lack of power especially when needed like going up a hill, spit sputter and backfiring, your engines way of saying ”Help!!” I am not getting the nutrients I need and it may even stop running all together. (Bad, very Bad if this is your body.) To fix the symptoms, all that is needed (if you do this soon enough) is to purge the engine of the impurities and make sure that the new fuel is clean and proper.

Your body is no different, if what you eat is contaminated you will experience the symptoms of being tired, no power, you can also spit, sputter (vomit), and backfire (diarrhea). Again the cure is as easy as giving the body the clean and proper foods it needs. AHH, but now you may ask what are the proper foods.

Remember when you were taught that there were four basic food groups? We were instructed to eat from all four-food groups to get a balanced meal.
1. Dairy 2.Meat 3. Grain 4. Fruits and vegetables. Sounds easy EXCEPT

YOUR DIET CAN AND DOES CAUSE ILLNESS.
SAY WHAT?
Have you ever suffered from one of the following? Indigestion, heartburn, tiredness, headaches, mood swings, aching joints, constipation, allergies, hypoglycemia, diabetes, high blood pressure, yeast overgrowth, just to name a few.

The problem may not be just the foods you are eating, but what Foods you are Mixing together that is causing a TOXIC CONDITION in the body, especially in the digestive tract.
OH, now you have really done it. This is sounding too confusing.
